About Doug



 Doug and his wife Pamela have lived in Shelby Township for 27 years and have been married for 34 years. Doug is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and also Michigan State University.  Doug and Pam’s daughter Lauren is a 2009 graduate of the University of Michigan also and recently graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School. Doug served as a Shelby Township Trustee for 10 years. He was elected to the State House in November of 2018 and took office January 1, 2019. 



 A practicing attorney, who is currently a sole practitioner concentrating on business formations, business litigation, wills, trusts, probate, and real estate (short sales, foreclosures, evictions, etc.). Doug also focuses on Elder Law and Medicaid planning for senior citizens. He has taken an active interest in senior programs, and is involved with helping develop greater activities for seniors and their families. Doug has also been a host on Shelby TV’s Senior Moments. 



 Doug is active in the Shelby Daybreakers Kiwanis, Shelby Optimists, and St. Kieran’s Knights of Columbus and Shelby Lions. He is a former member of the Downtown Development Authority, Planning Commission, Construction Board of Appeals, Macomb Board of Canvassers, Macomb Republican Party Executive Committee and he was the Vice Chair of Northern Macomb Republican PAC.
