Representative Doug Wozniak Announces Re-Election Run
Today, State Representative Doug Wozniak (R - Shelby Township) announced that he will be seeking the opportunity to continue representing the 59th House District in the 2025 - 2026 legislative session.
Having proudly represented Shelby Township since first entering the legislature in 2019, Wozniak has also represented the northwest corner of Macomb Township for the past year since the new legislative district lines took effect in 2023. He is a small business owner, a job provider, a former longtime township committee and board member, and a practicing elder law attorney who knows and loves the people and communities of Shelby and Macomb Townships.
Wozniak has been a champion of safeguarding senior citizens from fraud and abuse, promoting fiscal responsibility, lowering taxes, and reducing government regulation. As one of the few attorneys in the legislature, Doug has been instrumental in developing legislation that protects and benefits citizens and small businesses.
An active member of the Shelby Lions Club, Shelby Golden K Kiwanis Club, and St. Kieran Church, Doug has served the people of his community as a private citizen, a private practice attorney, a local official, and a legislator. He has the knowledge, experience, and drive to represent the 59th District in Lansing.

Wozniak earned his law degree from Michigan State University. He also has a mathematics degree from the University of Michigan. He graduated from Harper Woods High School. Doug and his wife, Pamela, have been married for 40 years. Their daughter is a practicing pediatrician.
